  1. Akishi Valleys

Akishi Valley, literally meaning Death Fall Valley, has earned its moniker by consisting of a series of deep, chasms and valleys, with maze-like systems of caves and structures laden all throughout from civilizations that existed prior to the development of the shinobi villages. Their original inhabitants have long since been wiped out, with rogue shinobi often setting up temporary shelter within the systems, or the dwelling areas of previous occupants. There is no end to interesting artifacts, rooms and ruins that one can come across when exploring any of the numerous valleys. It has earned its name due to the number of people who have lost their lives falling down the dangerously steep inclines, or over the edge of the paths established by previous civilizations along the inside. 2. Daremoinai

In the far northeastern part of a small island, just north of the Flame Peninsula, is a small region known only as Daremoinai (also known as No Man's Land). Daremoinai is a freezing cold sub-arctic territory with no village claims. Due to the harsh climate and plethora of rogue shinobi, no village has attempted to lay claim to it. However, it has relatively easy access to the Flame and Wind territories should one travel far enough west or south. There are rampant packs of wolves and large grizzly bears that can be frequently found roaming the snow or residing deep within the caves of this region. (Region 3)

  7. Valley of Spirits

Originally said to have been a mass burial ground used by multiple villages during the aftermath of the Great Shinobi War, over time the Valley of Spirits gained a sacred status with it being common to find a variety of shrines..Naturally, the location has become susceptible to different folk lore and myths, ranging from stories of shinobi spirits wondering the area in search of their original villages, to many believing the torii structures located here being a gateway to the afterlife. In order to appease the spirits supposedly dwelling here, it has become custom for travelers to light the lanterns of shrines. (Region 48) Created by Yoshinori

The black rocky earth shapes a triangular dome with tall spires of volcanic rock that give the volcano its spicate appearance. Grey smoke billows from its peak year round, and at night the smoke appears yellow from its sulfuric content. (Region 46) Created by Nevergreen

  9. Forest of Giant Mushrooms

A massive forest made up of mainly large mushrooms. These mushrooms can range anywhere from  one to fifty meters tall and come in various shapes and colors. Its a very vibrant yet dark forest, with the tops of the mushrooms blocking out most of the sunlight. The forest itself is a very moist, cool and shadowy place, filled with large amounts of vegetation and animal life. Its a very beautiful yet dangerous environment, playing host to a large amount of deadly plants and animals, and even housing rouge ninja or criminals due to how easy it is to hide within the forest. Many travelers come to the forest for its beauty and wonder, only to find it holds darker secrets. 10. Cave of the Hitodama

Adept and practiced sailors and pirates alike over a hundred years ago once sailed to this area and stored hidden chests of stolen treasures and their own ships within the entrance of this cave. These old relics are preserved in ice in pieces and in whole parts within the cave. It would be as likely to find half a ship jutting from the ice upwards as it would to be able to find a solid box of ice around a tiny treasure chest. During times of war, this well hidden cave was used for hiding, as a meeting place for spies and as a private place for small communities to rest before escaping by sea. The floor is made of solid slippery rock, as are the walls. There are stalactites and stalagmites, sparkling, rising from the ground or dropping from the ceiling like staves and swords. The cave smells of salt and of sulfur from the deeply located hot spring and a crunching briny crust layers the edges of stone and ice alike in pure white. (Region 3) Created by Akane

  11. The Valley of Distorted Gravity

The Valley of Distorted Gravity is an arid land of scorched earth that bears the scars of epic battles from ages past. One such scar is deep gorge that runs jaggedly through the dry cracked region. The chasm created appears to be bottomless, though it is not, and is constantly filled with a dense haze that rises out from the depths. The haze is a mix of chakra and electrical energy that causes an imbalance in the region's magnetic field. While this does have odd effects on metal and the like, the most noticeable effect is on sharp stones that have been inundated with the energy for decades, causing them to float at varying in the ravine and higher up air outside of it. Many unique looking red rock formations dot the landscape, but there is no noticeable flora or fauna present. When night falls, the moon works with the rock formations to cause tricks of the light. Several travelers have reported seeing strange figures because of this, though the haunting sounds that accompany these sightings indicate that they aren't all illusions.
