A vast range of mountains that stretch through a little over half of the land. Home to a single shinobi village, considered the actual capital of the land itself, it serves as a natural defense from invaders. Littered with deadly creatures and very unpredictable weather due to its location; often giving off random thunder rumblings frequently due out the day and night. This is also attributed to the numerous rivers that flow through and around the mountains and into the oceans that border the Water territories.

What can best be perceived as the capital of the Lightning Territory, Yamagakure , the Village Hidden in the Mountains, deep within the mountains of Hiraishin. Built around and within a forest like oasis that is hidden within a ring of mountains, the forest itself considered to be one of the few wonders of the shinobi world. The village itself is all but impossible to reach outside of the three tunnels that run through the mountains and two mountain passes running north and south of the territory.

Among the numerous mountains within the Hiraishin Mountain territories is the largest mountain in the shinobi world. Reaching so high that its peak vanishes among the clouds and is mostly covered by snow. In fact, the entire area is by far the most dangerous within Lightning territories. This is due the chaotic weather change from blizzards, thunder storms, radical winds, or a combination of them all. There are no known people living here and is home to creatures that would give even the most skilled of shinobi a challenge.

  3. Maiden's Falls

A rather large waterfall that is the result of several underground streams emptying out into a singular location. The mouth of the opening from where the water empties is about a mile wide in length and pours out over a steep drop thats more than 10 miles high. The cascading water has carved many natural caves as a result, littered randomly behind the wall of water. At the bottom are numerous pointed rocks and there is always an abundant amount of loose rocks mingled in with the cascading waters. The water itself flows out into the open sea, and the large waterfall itself is visible from the Port of Raijin. Granted it is a great distance away, despite its visibility.
