Cloth Binding Technique

6 posts in this topic

Jutsu Name | Cloth Binding Technique
Jutsu Type | Offensive
Ranking | B-Rank
Element(s) | N/A
Specialty(s) | Fūinjutsu, Bukijutsu
Energy Cost | 75 CP

Handsigns | Horse → Dog → Tiger → Snake
Range | 20-Meter Range
Duration | 1-Post (Excluding actual sealing process)
Description | Utilizing the Binding Cloth as a necessary medium, the user performs the associated handsigns before allowing the cloth to extend 20 meters towards their target along a single linear path. Once eventual contact is made, the target is almost instantaneously sealed within the mass of cloth for a total duration of 3 posts, though it should be noted that there is a way to counter this. If the victim is adept in fuinjutsu, they should be able to easily come to the realization that by exhausting exactly 75 CP into the seal, the sealing process can be broken immediately and themselves rendered free as the cloth unfurls from around them.

If the cloth is torn in any way, the technique will ultimately fail, preventing the target from being sealed. It should be noted however that as with the Hiding in the Cloth Technique, weapons ranked E-C are rendered ineffective due to thickness of the cloth accounting for durability.
Other Effects | N/A
Requirements | Binding Cloth (and by extension, Fūinjutsu & Bukijutsu Adept)
Status | Public

Alright so it's going to need more handsigns as per rank.

Also is it a straight line skill or does it have homing properties, "the user performs the Seal of Confrontation before allowing the cloth to extend 20 meters towards their target." Could imply either so I just want to be very clear on this.

Completely understandable. Added a total of four handsigns and as for your second question, the technique goes in a straight line (which has been edited in).

Moved for potential edits.

By sealing the victim, does this mean they temporarily lose their physical body (like sealing a shuriken within a scroll), or are they just buried under a lot of cloth? If the former, I'd like a clause that prevents you from harming the victim during that time and that as soon as the cloth would be damaged in any way, the victim would be set free. If the latter, it will sadly have to follow the new paralyze rules.

Regardless, it should be noted within the description that a S rank ninja could overpower this and break free.

Yeah... I'll just ask that this along with anything associated with it, be archived if possible:

• Hiding in the Cloth Technique

• Binding Cloth

 Thanks for checking regardless! :D
