Genin Squad one: Training in the storm!

The searing wind clashed against the jagged edges of the mountain side, unearthed rocks scattering along as small tremors could be felt coming off the vibrating mountain. Pine trees stalking in place above the small poorly lit concrete training field, weaved in place whispering in the old tongue.  The dark clouds now hung heavy and ominous in the coming night sky as they gathered for a feast above. As they encircled over the mountaintop, rain began falling in a frenzy over the darkness of night the searing flashes of lightning  separated the darkness from the light.

The shouts of thunder descended from above as the night turned to a stormy yet blissful chaos quickly as a hooded individual stalked through the dark woods and onto the concrete floor. The large frame covered completely in a oversized black coat, a shadow under the covers of night as it carried what appeared to be armored practice dummies over its shoulder and a small duffle bag in the right hand. Placing one at the edge of the arena then walking and doing the same on the other side, he dropped the duffle bag on the ground, several small wooden staffs rolling out. The cloaked figure descended once more into the wooded area to his right and out of any line of sight. The sound of a cutting wind zipped through the arena as a lightning enshrouded chokuton shot out from the tree striking the mountain side piercing and burying its blade against the mountain. A small scroll tied at the hilt of the chokuton unrolled itself, the black ink seemed laminated.

Genin Squad One: In the cover of night, under the eye of the storm

Rain crashed against his tan cloak as he walked along the path. This was not the best weather to be training in. He would really much rather be at home with a good book and some music. He sighed ans he kept his cloak tightly pressed against his body. The water dripping off the fabric leaving him thankfully dry. His lightning headband worn proudly over his forehead. Although perhaps he should take it off after all metal was a conductor. He shrugged and stopped halfway up the hill and looked over at the beaten path. He saw a large crack of lightning hit the  side of the mountain. Things were getting a  little dangerous out there for him this weather could seriously hurt someone. He sometimes wished he had been born in a place more green and more suited to his calm and kind nature but in his heart the lightning would always be his home no matter what he felt.

He continued along the path carefully taking his time walking along the path. He would soon arrive and thanked who ever had planted these pine trees here so long ago. They would provide much better cover from the rain and possible lightning. He looked around and suddenly he felt himself lose his balance as he felt something roll from beneath his foot. He comically landed face forward into mud. His arms outstretched he gritted his teeth and wiped the mud away from his face  as he looked down and saw several staffs among with a multitude of other assorted tools and training exercise equipment. It seems someone had not picked up there toys before the storm had hit for shame. He spat onto the ground  and composed himself as he saw a black cloaked figure in the distance. Could it be his new sensei or perhaps it could be some unknown enemy. Either way he would remain watchful and wary of the unknown presence.

There was a rather dangerous storm tonight. A very dark sky with powerful winds crashing into and brushing along side the mountain side, roars of thunder could be heard loud and clear through the dark grey clouds and not to mention the frequent lightning bolts falling from the sky. Ranmaru was walking through the trees with his hood up to hide his spiky grey hair as the rain started to fall. Slowly at first with the drops clearly distinguishable on the back of his hood, before speeding up into a frenzy. 'What a night' Ranmaru though to himself, he quite liked weather like this but from his younger years, he knew the weather would rile him and get him quite agitated.

Ranmaru walked calmly and at a leisurely pace through the forest. His hands were in his pockets, making sure to hide his hands from anyone who may be in the vicinity. His secret would be surely to fun reveal and to see the reactions of his sensei and team. To follow suit, his face was also covered with a face mask which hid his mouth and nose. It was a dark blue and wrapped around his face, below his ears and tying up at the back of his head. His teammates wouldn't get to see his mouth today. It was a fight, but biting someone would surely lead to problems. 'I couldn't try that hard'  he thought to himself.

He emerged from the trees to see the concrete floor and an armoured practice dummy at the entrance. He was fond of these from his time at the academy not too long ago. With that, he stopped, pulled his headband out of his pocket and gave a quick smile as his eyes dropped down to look at it. The young lightning shinobi was proud he graduated. Raising his head once more he walked to the middle, glancing across and seeing the other dummy on the opposite side to the first.

With that, he took his hood off, unzipped his hoodie and pulled it off. He sat down with his legs folded and let the rain hit his skin. He loved the soothing feeling the rain gave him, hopefully it'll counteract the agitating lightning and thunder. He leaned backed, put his arms behind him on the floor to hold him up and screaming "Hello? Is anyone else here?" 'Normal' behaviour was lost on Ranmaru as he still hadn't got used to human customs, but he was trying. Hopefully having a team and people to socialise with would speed up that process.

"You have all been summoned here for a purpose today, your first squad meeting. The darkness of night and under the elements!  Come now, show me who is who! I must assign a squad captain last man standing wins the title. This should go without saying, but hungry hearts go death and blind to reason. There will be no killing.  Anyone who goes beyond the means of honorable combat will be heavily sanctioned. "

The deep voice called out from within the trees, his voice amplified and appearing to come from all directions. From a distance a shearing kunai ripped through the air  towards the shinobi on the tree. The kunai itself engulfed in a lightning blue coating glew in the dark as it crashed against the  tree branch the nin stood upon, cracking the trunk in two.

"Begin!"

He listened to the man in the black cloak speak although he was finishing cleaning up the mud that was in his face at the moment. However his hear was not impaired in the least so he understood just what was taking place at the moment. To be the squad captin would more than likely have made his father proud of him if he were still among the living.  To his recollection his father had also been a squad leader when he was his age. Perhaps it was time to carry on the family tradition. He sighed as he brought his right thumb to his mouth and bit down on it and formed the following handseals Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram and slammed his hand down on the ground. Speed was essential and a large white smoke cloud appeared covering him within it. He however had added a little something else to the technique. The smoke would clear and reveal a two foot long white scaled snakes. Her tongue flicking and looking around at the surroundings. She had been scaled forth by her master who lay secure withing her stomach due to the additional use of the hiding in a summon jutsu.  She counted  three people within the vicinity, two smaller targets and one larger one.

She hissed and moved at full speed and moved off forest to take cover. She was not much of a fighter she was more of a recon type of snake due to her incredible speed. Neahs voice spoke  to his snake as he sat cross legged sitting safe  within her stomachs barrier space. It was a little disturbing at first but perhaps he would grow to become accustomed to it. "Bachi observe and learn what we are dealing with do not engage." Bachi stuck her tongue out and  said quietly "as you wish neah-sama." He had only been in fights at the academy but that was also training exercises but then again this could be considered that as well,  This would save him a bit of time and some chakra as he would not have to fight directly, bachi could do that for a while at least he just hoped she didn't get to hurt. To him his snake summons were precious members of his own family and he didn't honestly know what he was going to do if something ever happened to them that was fatal.

Spoiler

Jutsus  used: Summoning jutsu, Hiding in a summon technique

Chakra pool: 100

Torrential rains, Cracking lightning, Deafening Thunder it was clear that this night would be one for sage traveling and stay within the confines of somewhere safe. However, the boy of this tale had no home to return to without success, all his possession upon his back and his mind geared toward achieving what so much time forgotten within this world was. But first, he would have to prove himself to those above him to spread his message and philosophy without the need for unnecessary violence and bastardized scare tactics. His mind would slowly drift back to his current situation however as he would be scaling down the mountain with every step he could feel the ground becoming softer and softer, his breathing calm yet his movements swift.

There wouldn't be much time before the ridge he would have been on would collapse. With every fleeting second, it would become more apparent and with every step his journey becoming more dangerous. Thus he would attempt to move even more swiftly scaling down as if he was a rock climber not truly having time to think upon his actions but rather just react to the surrounding. Therefore, if anyone would have been able to see the man though very unlikely given the dense darkness that would only have been pierced by the crashing down of lightning through the cloud. He would have appeared to be some animal as he would swing his body from rock to rock until he would have found himself close enough to the tree lining below to have jumped down safely landing into the tree closest to the mountain.

Thus he would slowly begin his decent within the forest and rushing toward the agreed meeting area for his squad, however, as he would have started. He would have felt his body heavily covered in mud thanks to his climb down from the mountain ridge and he would have been focused on dodging every possible tree as he would zoom through the forest. Though he would have seemingly stopped in his tracks as he would have seen a giant white snake zipping from the area they were supposed to meet. However, he wouldn't have been seen because of the way his body would have been concealed by the trees obscuring the view of those outside the tree line.

With this, he would have thought to himself what truly was it he was meant to do. He had no idea if this was something set up by his sensei to have the team attempt to capture it or if it was simply a beast from within the wilderness retreating. So he would have moved silently yet swift and would move within the shadows with every crackle of lightning he would assure his body was covered by a tree as not to alert the beast. However, as it would have moved past him, he would have waited until it was half way past him and he would have reached out and grabbed it by the tail and swiftly in one motion threw it back toward the training ground with all his might. The head of the snake would have flung straight into the air, and the belly of the beast would have been skyward as it would be slung back toward where it came from coming down with a massive crash. Given that the snake would have had to react rather swiftly it was almost guaranteed that the grab would have landed and with the mud splattered upon his boy the snake's vision of him would have been null as it would have concealed his body temperature making him nearly invisible to the snake.  However, just to ensure he would have hidden his presence as he would have landed in the tree for he had no idea what the meeting was going to be about or what it entailed so the young genin would have prepared for anything always focusing on keeping his mind and body ready for anything.
